So that’s Ray, KD4BBM. I refer to that shot as 80’s Ray.
Ray has been involved with telephony in some way, shape, or form since he was a kid. Before caller ID became a thing and most people still had landlines, there was a group of comedians called the Jerky Boys that would call people up and prank them. The Jerky Boys skyrocketed in popularity for a while and wouldn’t you know, somebody tipped them off to call Ray, the telephone man.
To this day you can still hear an occasional “Hey Ray!” in a New York accent barked out during a ham meeting.
