About The Club

SFLARC was born out of fire and brimstone! (just kidding, well sort of)

The club was born out of some unfortunate events in the ham radio community brought about by some individuals with differences in opinion. The beauty of our wonderful nation is we are all entitled to our opinions. By the same token, we are all entitled to socialize with like minded individuals.

We are pro 1st Amendment and a great many of us are staunch supporters of the 2nd amendment. The conversations you may hear may not be to everyone’s liking. Thank’s to modern technology, all radios are now fitted with a VFO. This allows the user to change frequencies should the conversations heard not appeal to them.

The catalyst for the SFLARC was a general consenus that we will not enjoy our hobby on someone else’s terms. Despite some malicious hardships, we prevailed in keeping not one, but a network of repeaters on the air along with South Florida’s first Zello to amateur radio repeater interface.

Our group is made up of folks from many different backgrounds and skill sets with a common interest in radio. If this sounds like a group you may be interested in being part of, please click the link to download a membership application.
