Hobbies are supposed to be fun!
We have enough to prove on a daily basis in the game of life. If you’ve gotta go around proving yourself in your hobby then guess what? It’s not a hobby, it’s an unpaid job.
Where am I going with this? Summer field day just hasn’t been fun in a long while. It’s too damn hot and if the heat don’t get you, the rain and the mosquitoes do. This year SFLARC is not participating in the misery that has become Summer Field Day. DRC is not either.
Just putting it out there, maybe it’s time those of us fed up with the heat, the misery, the bugs, and the rain put our foot down and say enough of this crap. Maybe it’s time to make POTA a viable alternative to a full on Summer Field Day event.
This year in lieu of Summer Field Day, SFLARC will try to activate the following POTA parks. Mind you, it will be a fast paced plan to have them knocked out by lunch time.
