WFD is right around the corner and SFLARC is all hands on deck.
The biggest (literally) announcement is the placement of a 65′ tilt over telescopic tower at the farm we are doing field day from. Yes, farm. As in field, trees, goats, TOWER. Using a skidsteer and some other resources, the rufians have erected a big boy antenna support in the middle of nowhere. The dipole was put up for our December 6th meeting but we’re looking at having a 6 element beam to put up for field day. 400′ of LMR400 has also been procured.
So far what we got lined up is several HF stations, a satellite station, and a VHF/UHF station. There will be free food and beverage available to those that attend.
